The 2007 Traditional Large Craft class built the hull for the Haven 12 1/2 for a client under the direction of Master Boatbuilder Jeff Hammond.
The Traditional Small Craft class, members of which are seen here longboarding the hull, finished it out. (Longboarding involves sanding the hull after it has been caulked to ensure the hull is fair and smooth. The white primer helps to show where the low spots are).
The Haven 12 1/2 is the popular designer Joel White’s adaptation of Nathanael Herreshoff’s 1914 daysailor. You can read a good summary of his work, here, in his obituary. www.nytimes.com/1997/12/10/sports/joel-white-66-designer-...
N.G. Herreshoff is often called "the Wizard of Bristol", and for good reason. Read about him here www.herreshoff.org/achof/nathanael_g_herreshoff.html and here www.herreshoff.org/hmm/index.html
