The Grade II* Listed Church of St Michael, Hackthorn, West Lindsey, Lincolnshire.

Situated among the trees of Hackthorn park and overlooking the lake, is the parish church dedicated to St Michael and All Angels. A village church is mentioned in the Domesday Book, although original church was rebuilt in 1849 by a Mr. Mainwaring, under a design by the lay rector of Hackthorn in the Victorian gothic style.

The earlier church is shown in the Banks Collection and has a blocked 12th Century arch is clearly visible on the south side.

The modern church contains carved woodwork in the reredos screen and gallery, and an 1869 Nicholson Organ, fully restored in 2006. In the chancel there us a large wall slabin pietra dura by J. Darmanin & Sons of Malta portraying a standing angel holding a bible in an architectural surround.
