I had Caitlin pose on a footbridge near the base of Berry Creek Falls. I was using the Vari-ND filter to take a 30 second exposure. Since I forgot to tell her I was doing this, she looked up at the last second and I lost some sharpness here. That works fine because it makes the image anonymous. 🙂
If you dial the Vari-ND filter too much, the cross polarizers don’t block the near-infra red enough and you will get a near-IR photograph. The leaves are green, not red. Also, my ND filter vignettes on the left on my 12-24 so I had to crop the photograph a little.
Ironically, even though it looks heavily Photoshopped relative to the other photographs I took that day, almost no postprocessing was done to this photograph.
