Rogue Frontier

Rogue Frontier – a collab display by 24 members of RogueBricks, was on display at the Bricking Bavaria 2022 convention near Nuremberg, Germany.

After we had already built collaborative projects on themes like Pirates, Diesel Punk and Adventurers in the recent years, this time we decided on a large western landscape. However, it should not be the classic Wild West as we know it from many movies, but a more mountainous scenery reminiscent of Canada’s pioneer era.

Actually, we had already started planning this project three years ago, but then we had to postpone it due to the pandemic. Now, however, we were finally able to realize Rogue Frontier and put it on display at Bricking Bavaria 2022 in Fürth.

All 24 members and their contributions:
Daniel Bodky (dbodky): At the entrance to the town Daniel has built a church, with a small graveyard next to it.
Sascha Brüning (Speedyhead) and Michael Diermann (Boba1980): Sascha and Michael created a large fort together, with an entire company of soldiers in it.
Martin Gebert (MGibarian): Between the fort and the waterfall is Martin’s module with dense plants sprawling over the riverbank.
Johannes Haimann (Vaionaut): Two small townhouses were built by myself with a road and a path winding towards the coast. As a little extra I have hidden a hobbit cave in a hill.
Jonas Kramm (Legopard): An indigenous village is located on Jonas’ module, where the natives also shelter in a dripstone cave.
Gino Lohse (YgrekLego): On Gino’s module, a troop of hunters and lumberjacks moves through the forest.
Mark van der Maarel (steentje): Mark has built a gold mine at the foot of the mountain.
Fernando Pontes (Nando): Nando has laid some train tracks near the city and built a water tower next to it.
Michael Pühlhöfer (Felix-the-Builder): On Michael’s module a sawmill is working, which caught a lot of attention with its turning mill wheel.
Jan Rähm (jrx): Our Technic builder Jan constructed a mechanism that caused the large bridge to collapse and then automatically rebuilt it again with the help of a pulley.
Christian Rau (Rauy): Christian built his trapper a snowy cabin in the mountains.
Andrea Rollbühler (Andrea): On Andrea’s module on the left side of the coast there is an angler with a small shed.
Markus Rollbühler (rolli): The big mountain on the left was made by Markus, who integrated Jan’s bridge technique into it. He also built the waterfalls that separate the two water levels.
Luca Scheller (Luca s projects): Luca has provided a small train platform with lighting. In addition, a (motorized) woodworker can be seen sawing here.
Stefan Schneider (Robo Block): Stefan constructed two buildings on top of the cliffs, one of which houses the sheriff’s office.
Paul Trach (Disco86): The large mountain on the right is from Paul, including big minifigure heads carved in stone, a small shelter, and the steam locomotive crossing the bridge.
Hannes Tscharner (Marshal_Banana): The part of the small town located on the waterfront was made by Hannes, including a multistory hotel.
Filippos Tsialidis (Phil_DeLaGhetto): Fili, as a future dentist, lets a professional colleague’s carriage cross the bridge, reminding us of Django Unchained. He has also built a small distillery hut with a landing stage to the lake.
Marcel Veit (Marcel V.): Marcel’s rocky module connects the fort to the higher forest.
Kevin J. Walter (Skywalter): Kevin entered the bay with two large ships inspired by the Franklin expedition to the Canadian Arctic.
Thomas Weigelt (Sylon): For the loggers, Thomas has built a small camp on the shore under the mountain.
Marion Weintraut (Brixe): From Marion is a small cottage built on the coast outside the city with some interesting terrain around it.
Ben Tritschler (modestolus): Ben was significantly involved in the planning and originally wanted to build a large module as well. Unfortunately, he lost his battle with cancer earlier this year. As such this collaboration is dedicated to him. Waste your time well!

Traditionally, there is a voting for the best MOCs exhibited at the Bricking Bavaria. Independently of each other, both visitors and exhibitors can vote for their favorite models. This year we were again able to achieve 1st place in both votes with our collab project, which makes us all very proud and underlines the great teamwork. Many thanks to everyone who was involved!
