In the end, rather than trying to figure out how to offset the edges of the vertical supports, and the flat bars I clamped along the pencil lines here, I opted to just let the biscuits of the central vertical support panels be off-center. It wasn’t enough to worry about, and will be plenty strong. I’m sure I’ll come up with a very accurate biscuit joining jig at some point, but until then…
