Several domestics in this shot. Spanish cedar had a bit of resin coming out of it, and with the look of that, and the smell, I think I identified another piece from my Rockler Hardwood Assortments. Ash is the wood used in the handles of my lathe turning tools, though Sorby’s brand is from England, so I’m not sure if it’s the same as the ash grown here in the US.
Hickory was the second heaviest wood in this whole collection of 30 samples, with chechen being the winner.
