The plan was to have Great Western Modified Hall 4-6-0 6990 Witherslack Hall back in steam for the Woodford Gala but it was always going to be touch and go. The final fitting up invariably takes longer than expected so the date was never cast in stone and a problem with bending copper pipework has delayed things. However it was towed out of the shed for display and as can be seen here the engine is pretty near complete. Tone the Clean is making everything shine helped by cleaner Mark (?).
