The old, antique green baize and hessian tool roll which used to hold my carving chisels pretty much fell apart, sadly. So I made this leather replacement. It works pretty well and looks great. It holds the chisels much better than the old one too because the leather loop or tube holding each chisel is much wider than before and also it can be tightened with the belt buckles so it holds them really firmly. It is made in quite a few layers. I think I could improve on the design with another iteration but given how long this one took to sew by hand (especially as all the sewing is done twice to simulate a machine stitch), not sure I will do another one this complex.
