After its encounter with Top Gear’s "caravan train" Peak 1Co-Co1 diesel D123 has been in Loughborough shed having its damaged front end rebuilt and a full body repaint. The plan is to have it complete in time for the Diesel Gala on 9th-11th September.
Alongside to the right is British Railways Standard 5 4-6-0 73156 under restoration from Barry scrapyard condition. This process is moving along quickly but the boiler work has yet to be started.
