I bought a new lathe awhile ago and turned this bowl from a chunk of a tree my neighbor had cut down about 20 years ago. The wood checked pretty badly as it dried but I don’t mind a crack here and there. When I got the lathe I also bought a Nova chuck and this is the first piece using that. The bowl is small, about 4 1/2" in diameter.
