Here at Smile Moon Woodworks, wooden toy swords have turned out to be one of my most popular craft items, having sold several hundred of them in the three years I’ve been making them. My kids all have their own swords, too, as you can see.
The swords are made of unfinished poplar and sanded smooth – no splinters here! I’ve always offered customers the opportunity to have the final recipients’ names woodburned onto them, which has turned out to be a very poplular option.
