LNER N2 0-6-2T in British Railways livery as 69523 on Loughborough shed. After many years out of service it is planned to be back in steam by the end of 2008 and the shed team are currently hard at work on the tanks while the boiler is at Tyseley Works under repair.
Alongside is Great Central Railway/LNER O4 63601 still being restored in 1999. It’s almost there though because it has a fine black topcoat with only cab numerals missing and the brass window frame & glass.
