Hampton® Hotels’ volunteers Cassie Bonor (left) and Richard Potter (right) preserve antique furniture and woodwork at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum in Vermont, a center for culture and learning containing both a historic library and art gallery, while preparing for the next day’s Hampton® Hotels’ Save-A-Landmark® refurbishment event, Thurs., July 15, 2010. More than a dozen volunteers from local Vermont and New Hampshire Hampton Hotels will spend the day helping to preserve the site for future generations through projects such as preventative landscaping, polishing antique furniture and woodwork and preparing the children’s library for new sustainable flooring. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Hampton Hotels’ Save-A-Landmark program and The St. Johnsbury Athenaeum is the 53rd landmark to be refurbished. (Photo by Robin Weiner)
