This is Ole Jakob Nielsen and he works in the small Faroese village of Leynar. The wood he turns is for lampshades so it must extremely thin to allow the light to pass through.
In this image I have concentrated on the hands and the lathe. By keeping the shutters speed low there is a great sense of speed from the flying shavings which is something I wanted.
