I hadn’t planned on capturing this, but then again, I didn’t know what was on it. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. With the wind determined to hide the sun behind the clouds, I was lucky to get at least some sun as the working passed.
Hauling 6E26, the 10.40 from Knowsley Freight Terminal to Wilton Efw Terminal, DB Cargo Rail Red liveried Class 66/0, No. 66100 "Armistice 100 1918 – 2018" is seen as it passes through Winwick Junction on the 5th June 2020. Whilst I had seen the loco in this condition before, this was my first ever photograph of it. Nice to see that it is still in a decent external condition.
