Laura and Almanzo Wilder’s last home in Mansfield, Missouri. Most of the "Little House" books were written here. (The first four were written in the Rock House, the home their daughter had built for them nearby. They lived there 8 years before returning here.) Despite constant pain from a bout of diphtheria followed by a stroke and partial paralysis, Almanzo built this home, down to the rock chimney. The woodworking inside is simply incredible, all done by Almanzo’s hands.
