I am trying to clean out an accumulation of things from my shop and personal horde of stuff.
My heirs will have no idea what this stuff is, and I want it to have a use and go to a good home instead of ending up in front of the house on Monday night for pick-up on Tuesday.
Hand Plane Japanese
In a fitted wooden box with a drawer to hold a stone. (no stone included) Three pieces
1) Plane, hardwood close grained body, 67 MM wide (2 5/8”) x 210 MM long (8 1/4”) x 17.5 MM
thick (5/8”)
2) Iron, hand forged, bimetal construction, 3 MM thick (.120”) x 61 MM wide (2.010”)
3) Box, softwood, 3 3/8” wide, 8 15/16” long, x 3 5/16” tall
This tool appears new and unused.
Drawer will accept a 6” stone
Iron has some Japanese Character writing on it. (Visible in pictures)
Box has Logo and Japanese characters on the rear (Visible in pictures)
There are two dents to the top of the plane body, just behind the iron (larger dent is pictured),
There is a smaller dent on the top in the same place on the other side.
