TATA have recently amended their export operations in South Wales. Liberty Steel’s purchase of Birdport has curtailed their use of the dock to one train a day from Llanwern. As a result Newport Docks has become a major hub with the provision of a second rail served export warehouse and 16 scheduled services a week, plus ad hoc services outside of the train plan when necessary. 60007 stands inside No 7 shed with a service from Port Talbot in April 2019.
