Flintlock Hreeda was the brother of Vinto Hreeda, and they both lived on Rodia during the peaceful days before the galactic civil war. But when the Imperials came to Rodia, both brothers fought for the Rebel Alliance to free their planet from Imperial occupation. Flintlock fought with Vinto on a mission to steal plans for the Rebels, but the mission failed and they were both taken captive onboard a Star Destroyer.
The commander of the ship, Officer Matt “Scarface” Zode, gave both brothers similar scars across the face and separated them in different cells. Weeks passed without Flintlock getting a chance to see Vinto. But at the end of the month, a team of rebels led by a Kubaz named Fizz freed Flintlock and he escaped with the other rebels from the Star Destroyer on a Lambada Class Shuttle. Unfortunately, Flintlock couldn’t help his brother escape his cell, so it tore him apart when he had to leave his brother behind. His one goal he had was to save his brother from Officer Matt, and to free his planet from occupation.
Flintlock was part of a crew assembled to stop Empire. He got to know rebel commando Fizz better during that time. Fizz had a similar grudge against Matt because Matt issued the bombing on his planet, Kubindi. The bombing on Kubindi also killed his wife, just leaving him his son, Doug. Flintlock Hreeda noticed that Fizz never talked about his family.
Other members on the team included a Mon Calamari by the name of Troslo, a Zabrak named Zeb, and Onar Koma who was a Aqualish that knew Vinto better than anyone. Flintlock knew Onar because Vinto talked about him frequently. The Aqualish acted friendly to him and the two became friends.
Flintlock knew that “Scarface” had a massive amount of troops on his Star Destroyer, so getting his brother back wouldn’t be easy. Fizz had a decent plan that involved disguising as Imperial Stormtroopers and using the stolen Lambada class cruiser to sneak on the ship. Once the rebels made it onboard, they made it to the prisoners cell and tricked the Stormtrooper guard by telling him that Officer Matt needed him. Flintlock grabbed the keys and unlocked his brother’s cell door. Fizz shed a tear for his wife as he watched the brothers unite together.
The rebels continued onto the command bridge where they were stopped by an imperial officer. Fizz told him that they needed to talk to Officer Zode immediately. The disguised rebels walked into the room and were surprised to see Matt Zode waiting for them. Flintlock threw a thermal detonator exploding into the window as the Stormtroopers opened fire onto them. One laser bolt struck Troslo sending him fly with all the Imperials out the broken window. All the other rebels held on to the control panels until Onar Koma hit the reinforcement window. All the rebels knew that Troslo would be remembered as a hero.
Flintlock and Vinto knew that they were unable to free their homeworld with a small squad of rebels, but they were able to free each other.
