Because not all of the church would fit into the phone’s frame, I took seventeen frames to create this panorama. There were surprisingly few errors in the rendering. I looked up the church’s history and found that this is the third location within the city, this incarnation having been built in 1901. The church previously had its building located at Union Square, and when this structure was built, "one million bricks used in the Union Square church become part of the new church, as well as all the pews, the metal balcony supports and much of the woodwork." I got out somewhat early in order to use the eastern light for a change, and took the 22 to Pacific Heights. I took my "real" camera with me as well as I wanted to photograph something from the parking ramp at Webster and Clay Streets. But the sky was hazy and I didn’t really bother taking anything of note.
