Theme Rules:
Just like in 1:1 scale life, dolls need the right skills, instruments, and equipment to do any job properly. For this theme, show us your doll at work or pursuing his/her hobby with all the necessary equipment or supplies at her fingertips. Does your doll spend most days inside his art studio filled with canvases, paint, and brushes? Does she rebuild engines and has a garage filled with wrenches, screwdrivers, and an air compressor? Maybe we’ll find your doll on the farm surrounded by tractors, wheelbarrows, and shovels. Or maybe all your doll needs is a laptop, a thesaurus, and a vivid imagination to finish writing that epic novel! From start to finish, tools make many projects and tasks possible. Let’s get ready to ooh and ahh over all those dolly diorama details!

This photo: This photo fits the doll I chose. Robynne (girlfriend of alpaca farmer and French cook Claude Paloux) is pretty handy with tools and machinery. Here, she’s preparing to cut a board to size. The pencil in her hair is a small nod to my dad. He ran a woodworking business, and any time I’d see him at work, he’d have on a dusty shop apron and a pencil behind his ear. He often figured number conversions for exact measurements or pricing of lumber by hand. <3
