While we have not yet opened the full premises, we already have several studio/office spaces available at our new Berlin art center. The rooms are available from one week – a few months, and are suitable as offices or (working) studios for architects, designers, visual artists, illustrators, curators, writers, researchers etc.
Locality: The studios are situated on the first floor of a 1890’s mixed residential/commercial building at a lively main street; a stylishly renovated former pool hall and “Kaffeehaus” in the middle of the vibrant cosmopolitan Berlin “Kreuzkölln” neighborhood, the creative area connecting Kreuzberg and Neukölln. The Schönleinstrasse U-Bahn station is virtually at the door. Within walking distance are numerous cafes/restaurants/clubs, art spaces and institutions like Künstlerhaus Bethanien, the BBK Print Facilities and Media Studios, Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien and NGBK.
Details: The newly built studios are 3.85 m. high; well-insulated, bright and sunny, featuring large double windows and wooden floors. The rent includes electricity, central heating, WIFI (50.000 kBit/s), furniture as needed. Fridge, sink and toilet/shower room are right outside the studios; cleaning service is included. The artists working at our art center have some basic equipment and tools at their disposal and have access to our library and spacious salon/kitchen. If required, use of our 120 m2 gallery may be arranged.
We are an open, supportive community of visual artists, curators, music producers that welcomes international applicants. We speak English, Portuguese, Dutch, German and some French.
