A Fixer Upper

This was a stunning ruin to see in person, but it is difficult to present in a photograph because trees and bushes have enveloped it since abandonment. It has collapsed towards the middle and seems to have had the shape of a Greek Cross. The front side (not seen here), which faces a small bridge and overlooks a lovely creek, seems to be perfectly upright, whereas there seem to be three collapsed "wings" here at the back. Unfortunately, the creek side is mostly obscured by very thick brush.

One can see in person that, from the ornate woodworking on the dormers and the general appearance of this long abandoned house, it once was a fine home in a beautiful setting.
