This memorial features a white chair for each of the 185 lives lost in the devastating earthquake that hit Christchurch on 22 February 2011. To convey the ages of the persons who died there is a car seat for a baby up to an old rocking chair.This is opposite where the CTV building used to be and so many lost theit lives.
