Met some awesome people today! Left-Right: April Wilkerson, Me, Jay Bates, and Nick Ferry. I went to the convention pretty much just to find these three and talk to them about a charity collaboration idea, and luckily for me, they didn’t make it more than 10 feet inside the convention center!

I also met and got pictures with Marc Spagnuolo, "Stumpy Nubs", and the one and only Roy Underhill – and his magnificent mustache. I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous talking to Roy, but he’s a good sport about that sort of thing and took a great picture with me for my dad since he was running a marathon and couldn’t go to the convention with me.

I have a lego idea that I’m working on (which totally isn’t being hindered by insane amounts of French homework) so I might have a picture of that up, oh in a couple years I guess haha. No, I just need to find an hour or so that I can mess around in LDD, then take a screenshot.

In other news, taking on the role of club treasurer is always fun. Especially when the previous treasurers left our club in debt for the past few years completely unbeknownst to the club…so let’s see how good my fundraising skills are!

Also my buddy is going to Comic-Con in Cincinnati next weekend to get his life-size Captain America Shield signed by none other than Stan Lee. I don’t have time at the moment due to school and a non-climate controlled woodshop, but I will definitely be making a display case for it. It will actually be planned out, and I’m thinking a budget of $300. I mean, a Cap’t shield signed by Stan Lee shouldn’t be in a cheap plastic case. That would be blasphemous!
