Architectural Abstract, Pier 8

I met up with another photographer a couple of evenings ago to do a bit of shooting over in the harbour area along Hamilton, Ontario’s South shore of Burlington Bay. As the dusk following a very nice sunset set in, and just before the sun dropped below the horizon, it was masked/filtered by a tin cloud layer. This produced a subtle sunset tint to one of the buildings in the area, the former Sarcoa Restaurant on Pier 8. I liked the architectural abstract forms created by the intersection of the rooflines along the West end of the building. – JW
